Shoshannah’s Fans: THANK YOU!

On September 20, 2009 by admin

To my wonderful, amazing supportersโ€”

This new chapter in my life has entered upon a wave of happiness and appreciation. I have been able to fulfill things that Iโ€™ve only dreamed about ever since I was a little girl, daydreaming in my little house in Fremont. Sometimes, when I get caught up in the little things in my present-day life, such as paying the bills, getting into a fender bender, or eating a little too much sushi and feeling temporarily bloated, I tell myself to stop and step outside of the present moment, and look at where I am now. That never fails to help me appreciate the beauty of life.

Finally getting to achieve my dream of acting professionally has made me grow where it really counts. I feel like I am a stronger person now within my heart and my spirit. Acting is a tough profession. It comes and goes, as many of you may already know. However, what makes me stay positive and persevere is you all, the people who have written to me or told me in person how much they believe in me and support me. I now believe that what I am doing is bigger than myself. With everything that I do, Iโ€™m trying to add a new dimension to how people out there see the deaf community, not just as deaf people, but individuals with minds and personalities of their own.

I come from the deaf community, and that has shaped me and allowed me to do everything I have done. Iโ€™m forever grateful for that and for the support that the community has shown me. I hope to continue to make you all proud in my forthcoming years!

All my love and gratitude,

I feel so sorry for the people who doesn’t think of deaf people as regular people. I am amazed to see you talk, it’s so much encouraging. I’m only 15 yrs old, but I know from you that during hard times, I need to keep myself going. Thane for being a role model, and i would greTly appreciate if u read this and respond to Thanks!

  • I love you. You are an insperation to deaf people everywhere. I have always loved sign and have always wanted to learn it. I loved your roll in Jericho and was personally hurt that Bonnie died.

  • Congratulations on your success and happiness, as the other posts say you are an inspiration that people can look up to, deaf or otherwise. You are an amazing actress, and one of my favorite actresses of all time.. I am sorry to say that all I have seen of your cinematic works is Jericho.. but that show and your performance as Bonnie was utterly amazing, you were one of my favorite cast members and Bonnie one of my favorite characters.. I missed your performance in weeds. and live in a small town, so easily finding any of your other works is at the least a near impossible venture. Also I would think you get this alot, but I think you are a very beautiful woman, and that you were the prettiest female character in jericho.. when it was first on the air I was saddened deeply by Bonnies death and your leaving the show. jericho is also one of my top 10 favorite shows of all time, and I watch it at least once a month on dvd..
